You will be part of an enthusiastic, high energy small team.
You will experience the natural beauty of Lake burley griffin and learn a lot more about Australia’s National Capital Lake.
We work with our team to schedule shifts that can be flexible to meet your other commitments across 7 days with some early Sunrise starts or late Sunset. You can expect to work from 3 hours to 16 hours per week.
You will get to SUP on the latest RED Paddle equipment and develop your tan!
You will be laughing a lot, your Mental Health will be up!
We offer further on-the-job training.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
Academy of Surfing Instructors Level 1 (ASI Level1) Stand Up Paddle Instructor, Enclosed Flat Water. (INSTRUCTOR ROLE ONLY)
Current Senior First Aid Certificate including Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Current Water Rescue or Surf Rescue qualification.
Current "Working with vulnerable People" check (WWVP) (or WWCC outside ACT)
Desirable Experience:
Risk Management in Outdoor Education.
Paddling on the Nation’s Capital Lake Burley Griffin.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruct across our 3x3 syllabus of beginner, intermediate & advanced SUP curricula in group and individual one-on-one lessons. (INSTRUCTOR ROLE ONLY)
Lead SUP experiences and ASI education programs to school groups.
Lead SUP school holiday programs.
Lead corporate SUP activities.
Lead SUP Tourism activities.
Participate and coach SUP Ball.
Support across all day - to - day operations of SUPCBR
Provide on water risk management for safe conduct of all activities
Management of water rescue incidents
Land based CPR
